This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Real-Lenses' Services, including the forensic analysis platform, My Place social platform, marketplace, and API. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Permitted Use
You may use the Services for:
- Legitimate forensic analysis of media you own or have permission to analyze
- Fact-checking and verification of publicly available content
- Research, journalism, legal proceedings, and educational purposes
- Business intelligence and brand protection
- Creating and purchasing marketplace listings for lawful goods and services
- Participating in the My Place community in a respectful manner
2. Prohibited Use
You agree NOT to use the Services to:
- Analyze or distribute media that violates copyright, privacy, or other rights
- Create deepfakes, manipulated media, or AI-generated content intended to deceive
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate individuals through the platform
- Post content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit
- Impersonate another person or entity
- List illegal, counterfeit, or stolen goods in the marketplace
- Engage in money laundering, fraud, or financial crimes
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or proprietary technology
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Services
- Use bots or automated systems to abuse rate limits or bypass quotas
- Resell or sublicense access without authorization
- Misrepresent forensic verdicts or analysis results
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
3. Marketplace Conduct
Sellers and buyers in the marketplace must:
- Provide accurate descriptions of products and services
- Deliver purchased items promptly and as described
- Not list items that infringe intellectual property rights
- Not engage in shill bidding, review manipulation, or fake transactions
- Resolve disputes in good faith
- Comply with all applicable tax and regulatory requirements
4. My Place Community Standards
- Be respectful — no harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks
- Be truthful — do not post misinformation or false claims
- Respect privacy — do not share others' personal information without consent
- No spam — do not post repetitive, irrelevant, or promotional content excessively
- No illegal content — do not post content that violates law
- Report violations — use the reporting tools for inappropriate content
5. API Usage
API users must:
- Stay within rate limits and usage quotas for their plan
- Keep API keys secure and not share them publicly
- Not use the API to build competing forensic analysis services
- Not cache or store analysis results beyond what is necessary for their application
- Attribute results to Real-Lenses where appropriate
6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in: content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, API key revocation, marketplace listing removal, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate. We investigate reports and take action based on the severity and frequency of violations.
7. Reporting Violations
To report a violation of this AUP, email contact@real-lenses.com with details and evidence. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
8. User Liability & Creator Responsibility
The creator of this platform is not liable for how users use or abuse it.Real-Lenses is a tool built by its developer. The developer is not responsible for the actions, decisions, or conduct of any user on the platform. Each user holds their own individual liability for everything they do while using the Services — including the content they post, the transactions they make, the media they analyze, and the way they use or share forensic results.
You carry your own burden. The platform creator does not carry the burden of how users choose to use the platform. If you misuse the Services, violate the law, harm another person, or cause damage through your use of the platform, you alone are responsible — not the creator, not the platform, and not its operators. By using the Services, you accept full personal responsibility for your conduct and indemnify the platform creator from any liability arising from your actions.
